You know what I love? Beautiful brands. I have done many branding projects in my time and they are kind of all over the board of styles and paths. I have worked with greenhouses, catering services, lots of agriculture, interior designers, realtors, home builders, etc. See. All of these brands were so much fun to create because each one of them came with their own uniqueness and I loved working with these clients, but one area I had yet to tap into was the beauty market.
If you know me, you know that I worked in the beauty industry for many years. I worked with companies like Clinique and Estee Lauder. I also played the main role in the opening of the Sephora store in Amarillo and was responsible for education and training of the teams around the tri-state area. I have a love for the beauty industry.
Christine is a hairstylist in Southlake, Texas. She has been in the industry for 30 years with a full client list and specialties such as hand-tied hair extensions, balayage and is now pursuing adding hand tied NBR extensions to her expertise list. When first speaking with Christine, I knew that she was going to be one of my favorites. She is an expert of her industry and passionate about delivering her clients an incredible, elevated experience. Her personality is so welcoming and friendly, truly just a breath of fresh air from the chaos. It wasn’t until I had my first video chat with Christine that I saw her gorgeous Auburn red hair. Instant swoon. I knew that her hair color had to be incorporated into her brand to really showcase her uniqueness and personality.

Obstacle: I wanted to make sure that Christine’s brand stood out and did not fall into any shadow. I wanted it to be vibrant yet sophisticated.
One thing I really wanted to be sure to do was build a brand for Christine that truly encased all that she is; beautiful, classy, fun, young spirited yet sophisticated, artistic, and overall stunning. Easy right? I thought so long and hard about how to make a brand that measured up to Christine and I just wasn’t loving the moodboards I was putting together. None of them gave off the same vibe that you get when working with Christine. I couldn’t sleep one night so I was just scrolling through pinterest and then all of the sudden, inspiration hit me like a truck. One sleepless night later, the vision was ready to be sent off and approved.
Branding Suite: Logo, business cards, stationery, letterhead, ad layout templates, social media styling and of course, web design.
WEBSITE DESIGN
Goals: For Christine’s website, we wanted to stay true to our stunning + strategic roots.
We wanted her clients to be able to easily navigate through her website and be able to contact Christine and book appointments.
We used the Typeform platform to add a client questionnaire for them to fill out before ever stepping foot into the salon.
This addition allows the potential client to have an idea of what they can expect when they do go to the salon and it also gives Christine a thorough pre-consultation and look into what the client is looking for.
This is a feature that I think works wonders for hairstylists, but can also be incorporated into just about every other profession as well.
Social styling and strategy
Christine already had an Instagram that was serving her well, but she needed a little direction as to a set style for consistency, strategy, and just a little training on how to use Instagram as a way of marketing yourself, your brand, and your business.
Christine has labeled herself (she said it not us) technically challenged. We were able to show her simple and strategic ways to make her social media stay consistent with her brand and give her grid the facelift it needed.
We put together a Canva account for Christine with a brand file which included all of her brand colors, fonts, logos, and icons. We gave her templates to use where she can simply plug in the information and she is set to go. We were so glad we were able to provide this service for her to make it a painlessly simple way of keeping up with her clients and catching new leads.
What a joy it was to work on this project! I said I love beautiful brands and this, my friend, is as good as gold.

"Great process. Great communication. The design and presentation were amazing. [The final product] was exactly what I wanted. Deidre has a gift for communicating what I do with visuals and creating a picture that captures this – my new brand."
